Jawai Dam Crossed 48 Feet Level
Life line of west-southern Rajasthan (दक्षिण-पश्चिमी राजस्थान) – Jawai Bandh (जवाई बांध) has crossed the 48 Feet level. By Today, it will cross level of 48 Feet. Jawai Bandh is the biggest Dam of Western Rajasthan ((पश्चिमी राजस्थान का सबसे बड़ा बांध ) and earlier it was the lifeline of whole Jodhpur city.
Almost Mewar and West-southern Rajasthan enjoyed continuous monsoon spells till last 3 days. Entire Udaipur distrct is full of rains which is the main source of Jawai Dam through Saiee Dam (सेई डैम ) and Kalibor Dam (कालीबोर डैम ) of Udaipur District. Beda River (Upper Side of Jawai River) is running at good level above 3-4 feets over the Beda River Bridge. Before few days, there was almost fair (मेला) in the Jawai River between Sumerpur and Sheoganj towns of Pali and Sirohi Districts of Rajasthan as every body was anxious to witness the rarely running river.
District head quarter at Pali was full of flood water as heavy rains broke down a pond at upper side of Naya Gao village area. Naya Gao area and Transport nagar areas were badly hit areas and outer city from to Naya Gao to Ambedkar Circle area under flood situation. ,Bajaj show Room was under 6 feet water level. Over all rain fall in the Marwar Area is now more than requirement as the crops are being badly suffering by heavy as well as continuous rains.
For last two days, rains has stopped with good sun shine but water from Saiee Dam (सेई डैम ) through tunnel is coming in to Jawai Dam with good speed. In next 7 days, Jawai Dam will touch score of 50 Feet even without further rains.
